PALESTINE 2.0: A GUN AIMED AT EVERY JEW
By Daniel Greenfield
Posted May 20 2009
The first Palestinian state, commonly called Jordan, was carved out of the Palestine Mandate and equipped with a refugee Saudi royal family. Today Jordan exists mainly under the protection of the U.S. and Israel, and the majority of its population of Palestinian Arabs supports Osama bin Laden at a higher percentage than do the citizens of Pakistan.
But Jordan is practically heaven on earth compared to the Second Palestinian State the Obama administration is determined to inflict on Israel.
Currently ruled by mutually hostile armed gangs loyal to either the Fatah or Hamas terrorist groups, Palestine 2.0 has already been a failed state-in-the-making for over a decade. Every attempt at foreign investment has failed. The ruins of industrial zones, greenhouses and even a casino dot the landscape. Palestinian Christians from overseas who returned to build up the economy fled quickly in the face of relentless shakedowns, kidnappings and militia gangs masquerading as law enforcement.
For 17 years, Israel, America and just about every interested party has tried to build a Palestinian state. They provided weapons and training to build a modern Palestinian police force. They sent advisers and a fortune in economic aid. Billions in funds from the EU, the U.S. and various do-gooders were used to fund the lavish lifestyles of Yasir Arafat and his henchmen.
If the Palestinian Arabs really wanted a state (a second state) in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem, they could have had it before 1967, when those territories were in Arab hands. But the PLO back then called not for a Palestinian state but simply the destruction of Israel. As Bill Clinton discovered to his chagrin, Arafat did not actually want a state and was not interested in accepting an Israeli offer that gave him nearly everything he said he desired.
For 17 years now, the same tired soap opera has been playing in the region’s one theater. First, the world’s statesmen and diplomats descend on Israel, crying that the only hope for the region’s stability is a Palestinian state. Next, Israeli diplomats arrive with a generous territorial offer, counterbalanced by a second clause that asks that there be no more terrorism. That second clause is immediately ignored by everyone in the room.
Then the Palestinian Authority diplomats arrive demanding twice as much land, the elimination of Israeli border security, half of Israel’s capital, contiguous borders that would cut Israel in half, the ethnic cleansing of all Jews from territories relinquished by Israel, and the return of the “refugees” – code for unlimited immigration from the proposed Palestinian state into Israel.
The Israelis make a counteroffer. The statesmen and diplomats accuse Israel of rejecting peace. The Palestinian Arabs begin carrying out terrorist attacks again (assuming they even bothered to stop during the negotiations). Israel bombs the terrorists. The statesmen and diplomats accuse Israel of perpetuating the cycle of violence and urge everyone to go back to the negotiating table. By the time that happens a year later, the Palestinians have doubled their demands, and the “Cycle of Peacemaking” repeats itself all over again.
Palestinian nationalism has always been a crock, a transparently phony justification for terrorism. Palestine was never a country or a state. It was the name given by the Roman occupation forces to a region they were administering, a region far larger than modern day Israel. There was never an Arab Palestinian king or ruler until Arafat.
The Palestine Mandate in the 20th century was used to create two states – an Arab state, Jordan, and a smaller Jewish state, Israel. Now the drive is on to create Palestine 2.0, despite the obvious fact that the Palestinian Arabs have done everything possible to prevent it from coming into being. Nearly two decades of terrorism have turned the endless rounds of peace negotiations into a joke. Half the Palestinian Authority is now ruled by the Iranian-backed Hamas terrorist group, which insists it will never recognize or accept permanent peace with Israel.
The State of Israel was essentially in place well before the Holocaust in the form of an embryonic country of farmers who drained the swamps, businessmen who set up shops, journalists who printed newspapers, and soldiers who trained to protect and defend their homeland.
By 1942, 17 years after the Palestine Mandate, the Jews of Israel had built a thriving country. By contrast, 17 years after Oslo the Palestinian Arabs have built nothing but death and destruction. Worse yet, they’ve taken everything that was given to them and turned it into either a weapon or a bribe. By every standard they have failed to show any ability to build or run a functioning state.
Palestine 2.0 is a Frankenstein’s monster, with body parts from Shi’ite, Sunni and Marxist terrorists. It only knows how to do one thing and one thing alone: kill. It is not a natural creature, because, as mentioned, no Palestinian state ever existed in history. It is an artificial creation whose existence has only one purpose: the destruction of Israel.
Palestine 2.0 is a gun aimed at the head of Israel and of every Jew in the world. Palestine 2.0 is an imaginary place given form by generations of Jordanian and Egyptian Arabs brainwashed into calling themselves Palestinians in order to kill and die for the glory of Allah, Muhammad, Marx, Saddam Hussein, Ahmadinejad, the House of Saud, and every other cause and ruler with an interest in grinding Israel into the dust.
Palestine 2.0 is a monster with only one purpose: the perpetration of Holocaust 2.0.

Governor Christie’s Dirty Islamist Ties
New Jersey, the Garden State, has just taken its first step toward becoming the Sharia State, with Governor Christie’s nomination of Sohail Mohammed, an attorney to detained terrorist suspects, to a Superior Court judgeship in Passaic County. The Sohail nomination continues Christie’s unfortunate pandering to the American Muslim Union and the Islamic Center of Passaic County.
Passaic County has the second largest Muslim population in the country. And the Islamic Center of Passaic County is the state’s largest mosque, and it’s the only one run by an an Imam who was a member of the Hamas terrorist organization. But when the United States government attempted to deport Mohammed Qatanani, New Jersey’s pols and wannabe pols like Christie, quickly came to his aid. Despite the fact that Mohammed Qatanani was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, the organization that is behind both Al Qaeda and Hamas, despite his own guilty plea to being a member of Hamas, and despite the fact that even in the United States, he had defended a charity that provided funds to children of suicide bombers (this is done as an incentive to reassure terrorists that if they die their families will be taken care of), Qatanani was not deported.
This is less a sign of his innocence, than of the power and influence wielded by Qatanani and the American Muslim Union. There was hardly a top New Jersey public official who did not come out for Qatanani. And that included both of the major candidates in the governor’s race, Governor Jon Corzine and Chris Christie. Christie called Qatanani, “a man of great goodwill” and “a constructive force” and allowed Charles McKenna, one of his associate attorneys to testify on behalf of Qatanani. Afterward Christie tapped McKenna to head New Jersey’s Department of Homeland Security. McKenna had spent a good deal of time on Muslim “outreach” and made numerous statements echoing their talking points.
The pioneering terrorism researcher, Steve Emerson called it, “a disgrace and an act of pure political corruption”. He stated, “I know for certain that Christie and the FBI SAC had access to information about Qatanani’s background, involvement with and support of Hamas.” Defending Qatanani required Christie to pit himself against the Department of Homeland Security, which wanted him deported. But the Department of Homeland Security wasn’t running for office in New Jersey. Christie was.
The first Imam of the Islamic Center of Passaic County, Mohammad El-Mezain, was convicted of funneling money to Hamas. El-Mezain had actually boasted of raising almost 2 million dollars for Hamas. And his replacement, Qatanani, actually was a member of Hamas. An ordinary politician might have been forgiven for not knowing this, but Christie was the US Attorney for New Jersey. It’s absolutely impossible that he would not have known the background of the Islamic Center of Passaic County. Yet Christie attended a Ramadan dinner, in the same place where terrorists had fundraised, and kissed Qatanani on the cheek.
Now Christie has nominated Sohail Mohammed, Qatanan’s former lawyer, to a Superior Court judgeship. Sohail Mohammed is a board member of the American Muslim Union, an organization that has interlocking leadership with groups that have fundraised for Hamas and hosted a Hamas speaker. The American Muslim Union is closely interlinked with Qatanani’s Islamic Center of Passaic County.
When five Muslims were convicted of plotting to murder US soldiers at New Jersey’s Fort Dix, American Muslim Union president, Mohamad Younes, came out in their defense. When El-Mezain, the original Imam of the Islamic Center of Passaic County, was convicted, Younes claimed that he had only been convicted because he was a Muslim. The ICPC and the AMU shared five members in their leadership, which essentially makes them one and the same. Nominating an AMU board member is an indirect payoff to the Islamic Center of Passaic County’s own leadership… and to Mohammed Qatanani.
Sohail Mohammed defended suspected terrorist detainees and was the go-to man for local and national media looking for a good quote. He lobbied against the use of both ‘Islamic’ in descriptions of Islamic terrorists, condemned the television show 24 for depicting Muslim terrorists and made an appearance outside the Qatanani trial. After the massacre of a Coptic Christian family, Sohail Mohammed tried to have some Copts investigated for opposing Muslim attendance at their funeral. And most importantly, Sohail Mohammed was Qatanani’s original lawyer when the government began its case against him.
So after helping Mohammed Qatanani escape deportation, Christie then nominated his lawyer to a Superior Court judgeship. Sohail is the second Muslim Superior Court judge in New Jersey after Hany Mawla. And if you want a preview of New Jersey’s future, you can see it in Judge Hany Mawla conducting the swearing in ceremony for Mayor Mohamed T. Khairullah in Passaic County’s Prospect Park borough. And the opening prayer for the event is delivered by none other than Imam Qatanani, leading a prayer in the name of Allah.
There’s still an American flag in place and the pledge of allegiance is recited, but those are symbols masking the hijacking taking place underneath the red, white and blue.
There have been setbacks. The Democratic party had to dump Sami Merhi, when some of his comments sympathetic to terrorists came to light. But his friend Mohamed T. Khairullah made it through. A critical flyer mailed out to local households was described as a hate crime and exploited by the media for the sympathy vote. Corzine and the local Democratic machine moved Hawla from a civil rights commissioner to a superior court judge. They put Sohail Mohammed on the same track. Christie could have stood up to the Democratic machine, but instead he sucked up to Passaic’s Islamists, first by aiding Qatanani and then by nominating his lawyer to a Superior Court Judgeship.
Some might compare the situation in Passaic County to France with its “no go zones” where the local authorities and non-Muslims cannot enter, but it’s actually a good deal worse. The government and the judiciary is being taken over, small pieces of Muslim ruled territory are being carved out and expanded with the support of the state’s leading politicians, who trade political support and campaign contributions for something dangerously close to treason. It’s not just New Jersey. America is being carved up this way, piece by piece. The areas with the highest Muslim population like Illinois, Michigan and New Jersey are ground zero for the Islamist hijacking of America, using front groups, media friendly spokesmen, lawyers, leadership training and the slow climb up the ladder.
If you wondered why Governor Christie intervened in the Ground Zero Mosque issue or why a New Jersey state employee who participated in a protest against the mosque by burning a few pages from the Koran, lost his job– you were only seeing the tip of a very large iceberg. In Muslim heavy states such as New Jersey, politicians and law enforcement have been largely suborned. In their attempt to co-opt Muslims, they instead have been co-opted by them. Who is really working for whom? Decide for yourself.
When American Muslim Union president Mohamed Younes was detained in Dubai, he knew exactly whom to call. The deputy director of New Jersey’s Office of Homeland Security who offered to vouch for him. Now remember Younes was a member of the board of trustees of a mosque that had conducted fundraising for terrorists and whose Imam had been convicted of raising money for terrorists. But none of that mattered. No more than the IPCC’s history mattered to Christie. The very same Sohail Mohammed boasted that the deputy director of New Jersey’s Office of Homeland Security is “someone we can call 24/7″.
Is this what the people of New Jersey really want in their officials? It doesn’t matter, because they’re not being given a choice. And that’s the worst part of it. Whether you voted Corzine or Christie, you still ended up with a politician who was in bed with the IPCC and the AMU and who was going to nominate Sohail Mohammed to a Superior Court Judgeship. And that denotes a profound level of corruption that should cause intense scrutiny for any elected official from the Garden State who tries to run for national office. That includes Governor Christie who fought one brand of corruption, but surrendered to another, who was willing to stand up to the teacher’s union, but not to the terrorist’s union.

Foreign Ministry reports circulating in the Kremlin are warning that an already explosive situation in the United States is about to get a whole lot worse as a new law put forth by President Obama is said capable of seeing up to 500,000 American citizens jailed for the crime of opposing their government.
Sparking the concern of Russian diplomats over the growing totalitarian bent of the Obama government is the planned reintroduction of what these reports call one of the most draconian laws ever introduced in a free society that is titled “The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act”.
First introduced in the US Congress in 2007 by Democratic Representative Jane Harmon, this new law passed the US House of Representatives by a secretive voice vote, but failed to pass the US Senate, after which it was believed dead until this past week when it was embraced by Obama who became the first American President to name his own citizens as a threat to his Nations security.
In what is called the National Security Strategy document, that is required of US Presidents by their Congress, that embraces the dictatorial ideals of the “Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act”, Obama has ordered his Federal police and intelligence forces to begin targeting Americans opposed to him and his radical socialist polices.
Obama’s top counter-terrorism advisor, John Brennan, in speaking to reporters about this new “strategy” says it makes the problem of home-grown terrorists a top priority because an increasing number of individuals in the US have become “captivated by extremist ideology or causes.”
The Times of London is further reporting that Obama’s new National Security Strategy “officially” ends America’s “War on Terror” in what they call “a sweeping repudiation of the Bush doctrine of pre-emptive military strikes.”
And as Obama begins re-focusing his forces from fighting America’s foreign enemies, to those opposed to him in his own country, it is important to remember the warning about this new law given by the former CIA official, Philip Giraldi, who had previously warned of the Bush-Cheney plan to attack Iran with nuclear weapons, and who said:
“The mainstream media has made no effort to inform the public of the impending Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act. The Act, which was sponsored by Congresswoman Jane Harman of California, was passed in the House by an overwhelming 405 to 6 vote on October 24th and is now awaiting approval by the Senate Homeland Security Committee, which is headed by Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut.
Harman’s bill contends that the United States will soon have to deal with home grown terrorists and that something must be done to anticipate and neutralize the problem. The act deals with the issue through the creation of a congressional commission that will be empowered to hold hearings, conduct investigations, and designate various groups as “homegrown terrorists.”
The commission will be tasked to propose new legislation that will enable the government to take punitive action against both the groups and the individuals who are affiliated with them. Like Joe McCarthy and HUAC in the past, the commission will travel around the United States and hold hearings to find the terrorists and root them out.
Unlike inquiries in the past where the activity was carried out collectively, the act establishing the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Commission will empower all the members on the commission to arrange hearings, obtain testimony, and even to administer oaths to witnesses, meaning that multiple hearings could be running simultaneously in various parts of the country.
The ten commission members will be selected for their “expertise,” though most will be appointed by Congress itself and will reflect the usual political interests. They will be paid for their duties at the senior executive pay scale level and will have staffs and consultants to assist them.
Harman’s bill does not spell out terrorist behavior and leaves it up to the Commission itself to identify what is terrorism and what isn’t.
Language inserted in the act does partially define “homegrown terrorism” as “planning” or “threatening” to use force to promote a political objective, meaning that just thinking about doing something could be enough to merit the terrorist label.
The act also describes “violent radicalization” as the promotion of an “extremist belief system” without attempting to define “extremist.”
As an example of those American’s Obama will be targeting, Giraldi further writes that The Simon Wiesenthal Center, in testifying before the US Congress in support of this new law, swore that an organization called “Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth” was an example of a homegrown terrorist organization, leading one Russian diplomat in this report to state:
“If 1,200 of America’s top architectural and engineering professionals are deemed terrorists simply because they question their governments propaganda than truly no one is safe in the United States anymore”.
As another example of how dictatorial the Obama regime has become, and as the Gulf of Mexico oil debacle has now become the worst ecological disaster our World has ever seen, the White House press secretary, Robert Gibbs, this past week slammed American reporters for “asking too many questions about BP”.
Leading one to ask that if Obama’s regime can’t be asked about this disaster, what can they be asked about?
The answer is apparently none, as Obama himself, just this past week, in announcing his signing of a new law called the Press Freedom Act refused to answer any reporters’ questions and abruptly left them standing in stupefaction over the irony an ordeal that shows how far America has fallen.
Another irony apparently lost upon the American people is that their President Obama, who has been dubbed “The Great Communicator”, now holds the dubious distinction of having held fewer press conferences than any American President in modern history.
And if yesterday’s press conference, his first in nearly a year, was any example one can see why as incredulous press corps was left astounded that Obama had no knowledge of the firing/resignation of one of his top officials.
In all of these events one fact, beyond all others, stands out….in what was once called “The Land of the Free, And the Home of the Brave”…..the United States today has become “The Land Of Slave, And the Home of the Coward”….and these Americans have only themselves to blame.

I had no idea what to expect when I walked into a hole-in-the-wall Israeli restaurant today. Certainly I had no premonitions that I was about to laugh my hardest and tear up with heavyhearted sympathy the next.
Her name was Zivah and she was a couple of years younger than me. When I entered the dining room she ran up to greet me warmly and said, “You come here before? No? Come closer to me- I will show you food.”
Zivah led me to the buffet table where there was a small, scrumptious selection of breakfast items laid out.
“I make yogurt,” she informed me proudly and then took me to a table and poured me a cup of coffee.
Her brown eyes were gentle and her lips never stopped moving. She swung by my table often on her way to serve other patrons and she always had a funny yarn to spin. I giggled and giggled and almost lost a mouthful of hummus and feta once. She also told me very serious stories about her homeland and I sat dazed as I listened about a life I could not imagine.
“I go back to Israel for 3 months every year,” she informed me on one pass-by. “I eat on the roof there. I can see missiles fly overhead, but they do not land where I stay. My grandparents told me to stop being scared. I used to sit on roof and see a missile and say, ‘Oh, shit!’, but now I used to it.”
“Wow,” I said, my eyes huge. “I can’t even imagine living like that.”
“It is war there. War all the time, but there is war here too.”
I snorted. “In America? You’re kidding. We have freedom; we have it so easy.”
“I have been to bad cities in America. I have seen gangs hurt people, kill people. War is everywhere. Here, in this city where you and I are, we are safe, but that is not so in other places. War is just different in America, but it is still here.”
“It’s just how you interpret it?” I questioned.
“Yes. Where I come from, the Jews, they steal the young boys from our families. We learn to hide them. The Jews come and ask if there are young males in the house and we tell them no- we hide them underground or in caves.”
I swallowed the food in my mouth and leaned forward.
“One time they come to my house. We hid my brothers underground. My grandfather say, ‘No boys live here. We only have this young girl.’ They dragged me out of the house. I was 13. I screamed and cried. The only thing they made me do is mix dirt and water to make mud to cover up graffiti. I never forgot how scared I was that they would take me.”
On her next round over I asked about her parents.
“They no speak to me for 15 years. My father, he marry me off when I was 14 after he molest me. My husband, he raped me and I became pregnant. My husband, he beat me so I tried to run away. After the baby was born he took our daughter and left for Israel. I have not seen my daughter in 14 years.”
“And your parents?”
“They disowned me because they said I deserved to be alone and without my daughter because I was wrong to try to leave my husband. My siblings do not talk to me either because they did not want to be left out of the will when my parents die. I lost my whole family.”
She bustled away and I swallowed a lump in my throat. Tears blurred my eyes as I stared down at my yogurt and pita. I thought of all the times I have felt sorry for myself over the past year and guilt settled on my heart like a tangible oppression. My problems are so incredibly irrelevant and miniscule. Mostly the stress at this point in my life revolve around work. Without getting into particulars, I had settled into a slight depression over my job until a recent week in Hawaii brought me to my senses and made me realize I had lost months of my life consumed with constant worry and anguish about something I have no control over.
Zivah made me feel ashamed. Ashamed that I take so much for granted. Ashamed that I am not more thankful for the many blessings in my life. Ashamed that I have let time slip by- time that could have been spent in loving and caring for others instead of concentrating on myself and my worries about the future.
The next time Zivah came by I asked her, “But you are happy now, yes? You seem happy and at peace.”
She held her arms out to me and I saw scars up and down all over them. “I am working on it. I do not cut myself anymore.”
Trying to smother the sadness I felt for her, I smiled and said encouragingly, “That’s good!”
She smiled back. “Yes, I know difference between right and wrong. I am Muslim and I see the males when they beat their women; I don’t put up with that. They not supposed to eat beef, but they not supposed to drink either. But they drink all the time. I see. I see them drunk on Hennessy. They tell me, ‘America has changed you!’, and I say, ‘No, not America! I am smart- I see with my own eyes what is right and wrong’.”
I looked at her closely and realized she could so easily be a bridge to understanding. Here was a young lady who was both American and Muslim. And she so beautifully represented two completely different cultures that the intertwined result was both immensely intelligent and captivating. Admiration shone from my eyes.
“What is your name?” she asked me.
I held out my hand, “Michelle. It’s such a pleasure to know you.”
We shook hands and she was off again, tending to other customers. Next time she came by she refilled my coffee and told me a little bit about her friends’ son, who is three years old.
“Three? That’s such a cute age,” I told her.
“And he smart- so smart,” she said, obviously proud.
“We in California one time and I took him to aquarium. I had just smoked- how you say?- weed, and I was a little off. We walk by big water area and I pointed and told him, ‘Whale.’ He said, ‘No, Zivah, dolphin’. I was so embarrassed, but he was right.”
I laughed and was completely at ease with her honesty about everything.
A little bit later, I stood up to leave, full and relaxed. Zivah saw me across the restaurant and made a beeline for me, arms outstretched. I reached out to her as well and we hugged.
“You come back, Michelle?” she asked and I promised I would.
It’s not often you meet someone who makes you take an inside look at yourself. Never once did Zivah call me selfish or self-centered. Never once did she make reference to my protected, safe upbringing. But I saw it all. In brilliant color. I see the cracks in my personality, the chinks in the wall I have built around certain parts of my life. And I know. I know I am blessed beyond measure.
Life is not meant to be lived to its fullest. Life is meant to be lived for others. If we do not serve and care for our fellow humans- no matter their race, nationality or culture- we cease to live to our full potential.
“If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.” ~Mother Teresa
