Thoughts and Truth from the Impossible Life

The Quran Says that People of Other Religions are to be Violently Punished in This World

The Quran Says that People of Other Religions are to be Violently Punished in This World

Allah himself fights against the unbelievers (9:30), so why should Muslims not fight in his cause rather than in the cause of evil (4:76)? About 19% of the Quran is devoted to the violent conquest and subjugation of non-Muslims:
Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies of Allah and your enemies and others besides, whom ye may not know (8:60)
Strive hard (Jihad) against the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be firm against them. Their abode is Hell,- an evil refuge indeed. (66:9, See also 9:73)

Muslims are to expect a reward in this life as well as the next (4:134), so it makes sense that unbelievers should be punished in this life as well:

…He whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide. For them is a penalty in the life of this world, but harder, truly, is the penalty of the Hereafter… (13:33:34)
All beings on heaven and earth will be forced to bow down to Allah, either willingly or by force:
And unto Allah falleth prostrate whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly (13:15)
Those who resist Islam will be humiliated:
Those who resist Allah and His Messenger will be among those most humiliated. (58:20 – The context for this verse is the eviction of the Jewish tribes of Medina and the confiscation of their wealth, land, and children by Muhammad).
Non-Muslims are to be fought until religion is only for Allah:
And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah… (8:39 – “Persecution” in this context means resistance to Islam – defined in the prior verse as an unwillingness to believe (see verse 38). This passage was “revealed” following a battle that Muhammad deliberately provoked. Verse 2:193 essentially says the same thing and was also “revealed” at a time when the Muslims were not under physical attack).
Those with “diseased hearts” – which include Christians and Jews according to 5:52 – are to be “seized wherever found and slain with a (fierce) slaughter” (33:60-62) along with “hypocrites” (Muslims who are judged not to be true believers by their associations with unbelievers or their unwillingness to engage in Jihad).

Non-Muslims are to be encroached on and pressured by the Muslims:

See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? (13:41 – See also 21:44)
And He made you heirs to their land and their dwellings and their property, and (to) a land which you have not yet trodden, and Allah has power over all things. (33:27, See also Bukhari 53:392)

Allah will grant Muslims authority and power over all other people:

Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, of a surety, grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion… (24:55)
(Muhammad’s companions continued to self-fulfill this prophecy with an aggressive and senseless military expansion that left a trail of bodies from Spain to India).

Allah provides instructions to Muslims for dealing with unbelievers who are unwilling to accept Islamic rule:

Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): “I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.” This because they contended against Allah and His Messenger: If any contend against Allah and His Messenger, Allah is strict in punishment. (8:12-13)
Defeating non-Muslims should be easy for true believers because they are superior in intelligence and understanding:
O Prophet! Exhort the believers to fight. If there be of you twenty steadfast they shall overcome two hundred, and if there be of you a hundred (steadfast) they shall overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are a folk without intelligence (8:65)

Other verses of violence may be found here:

Remember that the Quran says that not all men are equal in Islam. This also applies to Muslims themselves with regard to their aggressiveness toward unbelievers. Those who kill or are killed on behalf of Islam are more pleasing to Allah:
Not equal are those of the believers who sit at home… and those who strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with their wealth and lives” (4:95)

SOVIET RUSSIA, THE CREATORS OF THE PLO AND THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE

SOVIET RUSSIA, THE CREATORS OF THE PLO AND THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE

    by Wallace Edward Brand

How Soviet Russia created the “peace process” and incited the Muslim world against the US.

The “peace process” is a charade. The revelations of the highest ranking Soviet bloc defector, Major General Ion Mihai Pacepa, show that the peace process is, and has from the outset, been nothing but a charade.

It all started with the creation of a fictitious “Palestinian People” who allegedly demand political self determination. This collective noun was created by the Soviet disinformation masters in 1964 when they created the Palestinian Liberation Organization, the “PLO”. The term “Palestinian People” as a descriptive of Arabs in Palestine appeared for the first time in the preamble of the 1964 PLO Charter, drafted in Moscow. The Charter was affirmed by the first 422 members of the Palestinian National Council, handpicked by the KGB.

Why in Moscow? The 1960s and 1970s were the years the Soviets were in the business of creating “liberation organizations”: for Palestine and Bolivia in 1964, Columbia 1965, in the 70s “The Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia” that bombed US airline offices in Europe, and “The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine that bombed Israelis.” But the PLO, was by far its most enduring success.

    Pacepa has written[1]

For nearly four decades, the PLO has been the largest, wealthiest, and most politically connected terrorist organization in the world. For most of that time, it was held in the firm grip of Yasser Arafat’s iron fist. But Arafat was not the fierce, independent actor he posed as; he was completely dependent on the Soviet KGB and its surrogate Warsaw Pact intelligence services for arms, training, logistical support, funds, and direction.

According to Pacepa his KGB handlers included Vasali Samoylenko, Vladimir Buljakov, and Soviet “Ambassador” Alexander Soldatov. Arafat’s closest friend and head of PLO intelligence, Hani Hassan, was actually an agent of the DIE, the Romanian subsidiary of the KGB.

In the PLO Charter preamble they actually had to use the phrase “Palestinian Arab People” to exclude those Jews who had retained a presence in Palestine since Biblical times and had been a majority population in Jerusalem as early as 1845. Romanian Communist dictator Ceausescu, at Soviet urging, persuaded Arafat to abandon his claim of wanting to annihilate the Jews in Israel in favor of “liberating the Palestinian People” in Israel.

Why? A brilliant strategy. That was the first step in reframing the conflict between the Arabs and the Jews from religious jihad to secular nationalism in a quest for political self determination, a posture far less offensive to the West. By focusing on political liberation for a small group of Arabs, it ignored the fact that Israel is a small state whose existence is threatened by the surrounding Arab states. These are states that outnumber its population many fold with Muslims who are commanded by an extreme form of their religion to kill infidels to take back land formerly controlled by Muslims. It creates Jews, ignoring they are a small group, as oppressors of an even smaller discrete group of Arabs, described in the Charter as Palestinian Arabs excluding those in Jordan, Judea, Samaria and Gaza. (After the 1967 war, and the Isreali conquest of Judea, Samaria and Gaza, the exclusions for Arabs in those areas were removed the Charter). It transforms the Jews from victims to oppressors.

The Arabs in Palestine had been engaged in religious jihad at least since 1929 when they massacred 69 Jews in Hebron, egged on by Haj Amin al Husseini, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. He had imported the Brotherhood’s vicious jihadist doctrines into Palestine from Egypt. Now, mirabile dictu, jihad became “liberation”. The religiously motivated attacks on Jews were turned into “resistance” from oppression motivated by secular nationalism. This will explain to you why, whenever the Arabs attacked the Jews thereafter, they said they were “resisting”.

In his book, History Upside Down,[2] David Meir Levi puts it this way:

“Arafat was particularly struck by Ho Chi Minh’s success in mobilizing left-wing sympathizers in Europe and the United States, where activists on American campuses, enthusiastically following the [propaganda] line of North Vietnamese operatives, had succeeded in reframing the Vietnam war from a Communist assault on the south to a struggle for national liberation. Ho’s chief strategist, General Giap, made it clear to Arafat and his lieutenants that in order to succeed, they too needed to redefine the terms of their struggle. Giap’s counsel was simple but profound: the PLO needed to work in a way that concealed its real goals, permitted strategic deception, and gave the appearance of moderation:”Stop talking about annihilating Israel and instead turn your terror war into a struggle for human rights. Then you will have the American people eating out of your hand.”

At the same time that he was getting advice from General Giap, Arafat was also being tutored by Muhammad Yazid, who had been minister of information in two Algerian wartime governments (1958-1962): wipe out the argument that Israel is a small state whose existence is threatened by the Arab states, or the reduction of the Palestinian problem to a question of refugees; instead, present the Palestinian struggle as a struggle for liberation like the others. Wipe out the impression that in the struggle between the Palestinians and the Zionists, the Zionist is the underdog. Now it is the Arab who is oppressed and victimized in his existence because he is not only facing the Zionists but also world imperialism.

To make sure that they followed this advice, the KGB put Arafat and his adjutants into the hands of a master of propaganda: Nicolai Ceausescu, president-for-life of Romania.

For the next few years, Ceausescu hosted Arafat frequently and gave him lessons on how to apply the advice of Giap, Yazid, and others in the Soviet orbit. Arafat’s personal “handler,” Ion Mihai Pacepa, the head of the Romanian military intelligence, had to work hard on his sometimes unruly protege. Pacepa later recorded a number of sessions during which Arafat railed against Ceausescu’s injunctions that the PLO should present itself as a people’s revolutionary army striving to right wrongs and free the oppressed: he wanted only to obliterate Israel. Gradually, though, Ceausescu’s lessons in Machiavellian statecraft sank in. During his early Lebanon years, Arafat developed propaganda tactics that would allow him to create the image of a homeless people oppressed by a colonial power. This makeover would serve him well in the west for decades to come.”

Brezhnev, according to Pacepa, carried it one step farther when Carter came into office. He suggested to Pacepa that Carter might fall for Yassir Arafat PRETENDING to renounce violence and pretending to seek peace negotiations. He persuaded Arafat to do this by telling him that the West would shower him with gold and glory. It did. Billions of dollars and a Nobel prize. Ceausescu warned Arafat he would have to pretend over and over again. Abbas is still pretending.

James Woolsey, former CIA director has been reported as stating that Pacepa is credible. Pacepa’s account is also corroborated by Zahir Muhsein, a member of the PLO executive board. In an interview by the Dutch newspaper Trouw in 1977, he stated that there is no such thing as the “Palestinian People”, that the term’s use is a political ploy, and there is no quest for political self-determination — that as soon as the Jews have been wiped out, sovereignty would be turned over to Jordan. Hafez Assad also has stated there was no “Palestinian People”; that prior to 1964 the Arabs in Palestine called themselves “citizens of Greater Syria”.

During WWI the British offered the local Arabs self determination if they helped in the war against the Ottoman Empire but the local Arabs fought on the side of the Ottomans to the eternal gratitude of the Turks.

This is from Pacepa’s article in National Review Online[3].

“In 1972, the Kremlin decided to turn the whole Islamic world against Israel and the U.S. As KGB chairman Yury Andropov told me [Pacepa], a billion adversaries could inflict far greater damage on America than could a few millions. We needed to instill a Nazi-style hatred for the Jews throughout the Islamic world, and to turn this weapon of the emotions into a terrorist bloodbath against Israel and its main supporter, the United States. No one within the American/Zionist sphere of influence should any longer feel safe.”According to Andropov, the Islamic world was a waiting petri dish in which we could nurture a virulent strain of America-hatred, grown from the bacterium of Marxist-Leninist thought. Islamic anti-Semitism ran deep. The Muslims had a taste for nationalism, jingoism, and victimology. Their illiterate, oppressed mobs could be whipped up to a fever pitch.”

Again from the National Review Online article, Pacepa writes:[3]

“In the mid 1970s, the KGB ordered my [Rumanian intelligence] service, the DIE — along with other East European sister services — to scour the country for trusted party activists belonging to various Islamic ethnic groups, train them in disinformation and terrorist operations, and infiltrate them into the countries of our “sphere of influence.” Their task was to export a rabid, demented hatred for American Zionism by manipulating the ancestral abhorrence for Jews felt by the people in that part of the world. Before I left Romania for good, in 1978, my DIE had dispatched around 500 such undercover agents to Islamic countries. According to a rough estimate received from Moscow, by 1978 the whole Soviet-bloc intelligence community had sent some 4,000 such agents of influence into the Islamic world. In the mid-1970s we also started showering the Islamic world with an Arabic translation of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a tsarist Russian forgery that had been used by Hitler as the foundation for his anti-Semitic philosophy. We also disseminated a KGB-fabricated “documentary” paper in Arabic alleging that Israel and its main supporter, the United States, were Zionist countries dedicated to converting the Islamic world into a Jewish colony.

We in the Soviet bloc tried to conquer minds, because we knew we could not win any military battles. It is hard to say what exactly are the lasting effects of operation SIG. But the cumulative effect of disseminating hundreds of thousands of Protocols in the Islamic world and portraying Israel and the United States as Islam’s deadly enemies was surely not constructive.”

You can find additional revelations in Pacepa’s biography, Red Horizons and in a Front Page magazine interview with him:[4].

    Conclusion

The current violence both in Israel and around the rest of the world is a third wave of Islamic Jihad or Holy War, with the violence in Israel disguised by the Soviets as secular nationalism in a quest for political self determination. As a consequence, Israel is the West’s first line of defense. Russia is still the enemy of Israel and the United States.

The Hard Life of Muslim Terrorists in Israeli Prison

The Hard Life of Muslim Terrorists in Israeli Prison
    by Daniel Greenfield | FrontPageMag.com | June 20, 2011

Six years ago, Saeed Shalalde stabbed an Israeli chocolate manufacturer named Sasson Nuriel to death. Today Shalalde lives the good life in an Israeli prison. There terrorists mingle, throw parties, study for advanced degrees and stay in touch with their adoring fans on Facebook using their 3G mobile smartphones.

For Muslim terrorists in Israeli prisons, life is more like a vacation. Hamas terrorist Haytham Battat, who was responsible for the murder of four Israelis, uses his Facebook page to share Jihadi videos from YouTube. In his recent facebook photos, PFLP terrorist Saeed Omar, who was sentenced to nineteen years in jail, poses with his favorite soccer team’s banner, feasts with other terrorists on a table covered with dozens of dishes supplemented by bottles of Coca Cola, and posts scraps of poetry calling for the destruction of Israel.

Using a 3G smartphone, Omar is able to update his own Facebook ‘fan page’ from prison. Other terrorists use smartphone video to go shopping with their friends and pick out their own clothes, which are then brought to them in prison, and remotely attend family events. Sometimes it seems like they’re not even in prison.

Muslim terrorists like Shalade, Batta and Omar refuse to recognize the existence of Israel. And thankfully they’re not forced to watch television programming from the Zionist entity. Instead they enjoy satellite Arab TV channels. Courtesy of the Israeli prison system.

Buying treats and luxury goods isn’t a challenge either. Every convicted Muslim terrorist receives a salary from the Palestinian Authority. Even members of Hamas. That money is provided by American and European taxpayers. As much as 10 percent of the Palestinian Authority’s budget is dedicated to paying the salaries of imprisoned terrorists, benefits to their families and the families of terrorists who weren’t lucky enough to end up in Israeli prisons, but tried to shoot it out instead.

With that money, Muslim terrorists not only eat better than Jewish prisoners, they even eat better than the prison guards who watch over them. While the orphans of the men and women they murdered go hungry, their murderers stuff themselves like pigs in prisons that exist in name only. Waiting for the day when Israel will agree to exchange a thousand of them for a single hostage.

The estimated 100 million dollars annually that goes to benefits for captured or killed terrorists shows what big business terrorism is for the Palestinian Authority. Both the terrorist attacks and the good life that terrorists enjoy in prison is subsidized by aid money from governments that claim to oppose terrorism. And then go on to subsidize it anyway.

One of the charges leveled against Saddam Hussein was that he was promoting terrorism by making payments to the families of suicide bombers. But every country that provides aid to the Palestinian Authority is indirectly doing the same thing. The only difference between what Saddam Hussein was doing, and what the EU and the US are doing, is that we have one degree of separation that provides plausible deniability. The Palestinian Authority acts as our middleman, requesting money for security and then doling it out to terrorists.

The Obama Administration dramatically escalated aid to terrorists. In 2008, it provided 600 million dollars worth of assistance to the Palestinian Authority. In 2009, it pledged 900 million dollars. By 2010, the PA had pulled in almost 4 billion dollars from international donors, including the US. But that hasn’t stopped Prime Minister Fayyad from denouncing US aid as “extortion”. Foreign aid makes up 60 percent of its Gross National Product. The Palestinian Authority does not have an economy. It has foreign aid.

The Palestinian Authority is run by terrorists. The shortest path to the top is to form your own terrorist cell and begin murdering Israeli civilians. And the reward is a chance to dip into the golden river of foreign aid and divert some of it their way. Terrorists who are on the loose enjoy wealth and international respect. And even when they are captured, they receive kid glove treatment in prison.

The tidal wave of human rights accusations leveled at Israel has caused the government to bend over backward to show how well it treats Muslim terrorists. IDF soldiers operate under tightly restricted rules of engagement, similar to those which are causing serious US casualties in Afghanistan. And Israeli prisons turn a blind eye to terrorists posting propaganda on Facebook from inside their own walls.

Human rights activists often describe Gaza as a prison. A prison with free electricity and free water. While Israelis pay premium amounts for water, Hamas supporters in Khan Younis get it free of charge. Israel provides 40 million cubic meters of water. So much water that while in Israel residents carefully measure how much water they use, in Khan Younis they opened up their own water park.

If Israel were to pull the plug on the electricity and water — Gaza would revert to the stone age in a matter of weeks. The smartphones would have no place to be recharged. The Facebook accounts promoting a Third Intifada wouldn’t be able to be updated from computers with no power. And the bomb making labs would no longer be able to count on using power tools or plot their strikes using electronic maps.

But just as terrorists like Shahalde and Omar get to keep their smartphones, The Palestinian Authority and Hamas run Gaza get to keep their water and power. The hard life of a Muslim terrorist that CNN and the BBC report on simply doesn’t exist.

The Israeli example is not unique. Muslim terrorists live on the dole in every Western country. Major newspapers give them flattering profiles and taxpayer money is pumped into their organizations. And still they cry that they are persecuted. Tormented, abused and deprived of their rights.

The truth is not what you see on TV. The truth is that there are “refugee camps” full of mansions paid for by international aid. The truth is that terrorists in prison are gorging themselves on luxuries paid for by American taxpayers and preening for their admirers on Facebook using smartphones that many American and Israeli families can’t afford. The truth is that terrorism is big business. And we’re the ones picking up the tab.

Outraged At Totally Wrong Headed Response to Israel standing up to the stupidity of Obama

Good For Israel! This article is totally bias toward the non-exist palestinian people (small p). These people are displaced Jodians, Syrians, Lebanese and Egyptians that disowned them and cast them aside. Israel is the ONLY stable democratic AND free country in the middle east. We, as a (former) beacon of freedom and democracy should be not only backing the only legal country in the former Palestine Mandate, but pushing with as much effort as we put into WWII to guarantee they are NOT pressured into giving up a single acre of land and that ALL OF Jerusalem is part of Israel. There are NO illegal settlements. Israel has just as much right to these lands without a nation as anyone. If it wasn’t for the Mohammad approved and sanctioned “kill all Jews and Christians who will not submit to subjegation” in the Qu’ran and Hadith and Sunnah of Islam, Israel would be the model ALL middle east nations should emulate as a fair and just government and nation.

    IN RESPONSE TO THIS:

Israel Bitch-Slaps Obama– Again– and Gets a $3,000,000,000 Handout from America as “Punishment”
    20th May 2011 · 0 Comments

    38
ShareOnce again, the Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu has bitch-slapped the Obama administration upside the head with impeccably humiliating timing, and once again America will respond by gifting billions of dollars in aid to Israel.

This time, it was more or less over a speech.

There was much fault to find in President Obama’s address on the Middle East yesterday. It was positively oozing with hypocrisy on democracy and America’s role in regional tyranny. But he struck a remarkably balanced tone on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, even going so far as to become the first sitting President to endorse a two-state solution based on Israel’s 1967 borders.

It was precisely this even-handedness, even if it was only in a speech (and anyone on the “Arab Street” can tell you that they’ve heard it all before), that caused Netanyahu to blow his yarmulke. A few highlights:

“For decades, the conflict between Israelis and Arabs has cast a shadow over the region. For Israelis, it has meant living with the fear that their children could get blown up on a bus or by rockets fired at their homes, as well as the pain of knowing that other children in the region are taught to hate them. For Palestinians, it has meant suffering the humiliation of occupation, and never living in a nation of their own.”

“Because of our friendship [with Israel], it is important that we tell the truth: the status quo is unsustainable, and Israel too must act boldly to advance a lasting peace.”

“The dream of a Jewish and democratic state cannot be fulfilled with permanent occupation.”

“A lasting peace will involve two states for two peoples. Israel as a Jewish state and the homeland for the Jewish people, and the state of Palestine as the homeland for the Palestinian people; each state enjoying self-determination, mutual recognition, and peace… The United States believes that negotiations should result in two states, with permanent Palestinian borders with Israel, Jordan, and Egypt, and permanent Israeli borders with Palestine. The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states. The Palestinian people must have the right to govern themselves, and reach their potential, in a sovereign and contiguous state.”

Obama also spoke of the need for a “full and phased withdrawal of Israeli military forces” from occupied Palestinian territories and decried the continued (and illegal) construction of Israeli settlements on Palestinian land.

That last one got Netanyahu madder than dispossessed Palestinian refugee, and he immediately turned to bite the hand that feeds him to the tune of $3,000,000,000 US taxpayer dollars a year. With impeccably dickish timing– right after Obama’s speech and right before he boarded a plane to Washington to meet with the American President in the White House– Netanyahu flipped Obama a huge middle finger in the form of an announcement that his government was approving the construction of an additional 1,500 illegal settler homes in occupied East Jerusalem.

According to Agence France-Presse, the Israeli interior ministry has given its final approval for the building of 900 settler homes in Har Homa and another 620 in Pisgat Zeev. “I hope that the message that goes through the approval of 1,500 units of building in Jerusalem sends a clear message to the American administration,” Israeli lawmaker Arieh Eldad huffed with cocksure audacity. Indeed, “Netanyahu’s decision to discuss Har Homa and Pisgat Zeev today is a clear message to the Americans about Israel’s real policy which refuses to even discuss (sharing) Jerusalem,” Hagit Ofran of Peace Now’s Settlement Watch unit told AFP.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time that the Netanyahu regime has told Israel’s most indispensable benefactor to go fuck themselves in so many words. Last year, Bibi chose the moment when Vice President Joe Biden was visiting Israel, pledging Obama’s “absolute, total, unvarnished commitment to Israel’s security,” to announce that his government was authorizing the construction of 1,600 new illegal settlement homes on occupied Palestinian land. And how did the country that Israel cannot survive without punish its number one welfare case? By Biden showing up an hour and a half late for dinner with Bibi. And by sending $2,750,000,000 worth of some of the most advanced fighter jets America has ever built to Israel. For free.

So, what about this latest Israeli slap to America’s face? How will we put those pesky, disobedient Zionists in their place? By handing out billions more in free money, of course. The Obama administration has pledged $30,000,000,000 in guaranteed aid to Israel, and nothing so small as being utterly humiliated by a nation whose actions have been roundly condemned literally hundreds of times by the United Nations is going to threaten that unending flow of cash.

Somebody needs to put Israel in its place. But the only country that has a chance of doing that is too busy kissing stinking Zionist ass. It is utterly incomprehensible how successive governments of what is arguably the most powerful nation that has ever existed have been reduced to spinelessly slavish cash machines for a quasi-pariah strip of desert smaller than New Jersey. If any other country treated America as flippantly as Israel so often does, it would find itself on our shit list, at the very least, or at most, the target of isolation, sanctions or even talk of regime change.

But Israel isn’t “any other country.” It, like the United States, is self-absorbed with heady notions of divinely sanctioned exceptionalism, and armed with the arrogance and the heavy weaponry to impose that dangerously delusional vision upon the hapless nations around it, the US and Israel will continue to stand virtually alone in a world that increasingly views them both as rogue states.

Yes Arab nations treated Palestinian’s with loathing for many decades. Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia could have all offered them homeland & aide but never did until they realized they could be exploited against Israel internally. Duped …to send they’re children to death as suicide bomber thay idolize. When too old & fragile to care for self those icons of so called dead hero’s won’t be there for help they need. Ironically the nomadic Pal.s never had nor desired a homeland untl Israel drained swamp lands & pastures they ruined overgrazing then moving on to overgraze again elsewhere. Nothing, no one prevented them from building a nation before Israel returned to her God given land. A mere 60 some yrs. ago is but a speck of time. Now that Israel created thriving land they want to steal but they never attempted to create for themselves!

Letter to President of Bard College

    Leon Botstein,

This is just a quick note to express dismay at the idea of a dual degree program with Al Quds University, giving undeserved legitimacy to the Hamas backed Al Quds, and possibly making US Education Funds through Title IV funding of the National Education Act available to support the terrorist agenda of Hamas.

This should not be allowed to happen and is detrimental to all students who would take part in such an aberrational dual degree program. In addition to being detrimental to the students, the educational integrity of Bard College, to the US Higher Educational System, it also is detrimental to the United States.

Talking with Muslims about Qur’an Contradictions

Talking with Muslims about Qur’an Contradictions

A web page and a personal dialog need very different approaches. The big handicap of a web page is that I cannot lead a dialog but have to present my whole case in a monolog. Since I am not able to respond to the agreement or disagreement of my dialog partner I have to lay out the complete argument at once and can’t ask questions without answering them myself on the same page.

For everybody it is much easier to accept as well as be impressed with that which he found himself, therefore it is so much more effective to ask questions and help others to discover facts than to just tell them.

Also, be sensitive. The suggestion that there are contradictions in the Qur’an is an attack on the most holy and central element of a Muslim’s faith. If there is no need, I would prefer to not even mention the issue. But if the topic of the discussion moves in this way and the Muslim makes the property that the Qur’an is free of contradiction a major part of his argument, then you might want to have a few of them ready to talk about them.

But when you want to use some of the difficulties in the Qur’an, please make yourself thoroughly familiar with the argument first. Don’t use it if you haven’t clearly understood it yourself.

Second, reformulate it and make it a sequence of questions. Don’t come up to a Muslim and claim that Allah said to Moses that he can find Muhammad mentioned in the Gospel and that is a clear contradiction since the Gospel does not exist in Moses time.

Rather take the information you find in the article “Moses and the Gospel?” and ask the Muslim to read the verses 155-158 and that if he could tell you who speaks to whom in each of these verses. Maybe you can even be so bold to ask if the wrong interpretation is possible: In 157 and 158 “unlettered” is mentioned, and since 158 speaks to Muhammad, doesn’t that mean that 157 also have to speak to Muhammad? If the Muslim is fluent in Arabic or even has a clear perception of the English translation, he will deny and insist that 156-157 is spoken to Moses. After he has committed himself to that correct interpretation, THEN you ask the question whether it makes sense that Allah tells Moses that he can find Muhammad mentioned in the Gospel.

If he doesn’t realize it, ask him “Whom was the Gospel revealed to?”, and “When did Jesus live?” and supply the information if he doesn’t know.

This way the Muslim himself will discover the problem, instead of you pushing it on him, and after he has committed that 157 is spoken to Moses, he can’t really just change his mind after he has rejected the wrong interpretation already when you suggested it.

In a similar way, for any contradiction you want to use for yourself, reformulate it in a sequence of questions when you use it in a personal face to face dialog. Never give all the details away in the beginning. Leave some of it to strengthen your case after the Muslim will start to defend and try to explain it away. So, you will need some more material to back up your claim. On the web page, no interaction happens, and I have to give the whole argument away from the start.

But most of all, ask God that he will give you wisdom and love and sensitivity who to present these issues. We are not here to score points, but to win people. If you win the argument and loose the person then you have lost, not won.
