Israel Palestinian Conflict: The Truth About the Peace Process

Palestinian Authority Is not Seeking Peace Vows Destruction of Israel

Palestinian Authority Is not Seeking Peace Vows Destruction of Israel

The Palestinian Authority claims in English to pursue peace, but a new book says that in the Arabic-language media, their statements tell a different story.

Leaders of the Palestinian Authority (PA), including its chairman, Mahmoud Abbas, and prime minister, Salam Fayyad, stand accused of systematically deceiving the international community by portraying themselves in English as pursuing peace while in their Arabic-language media they relentlessly propagate hate speech and venerate terror.

Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel and Robert Bernstein, founder of Advancing Human Rights and chairman emeritus of Human Rights Watch, endorsed the charge when they spoke in New York on the release of a 269-page book and CD entitled Deception, published by the research institute Palestinian Media Watch.

Its Israeli authors, Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik, document hundreds of examples in print, websites, videos, and school texts that they say are not exceptional but wholly representative of the way the PLO has systematically betrayed promises made to President Obama and the peace-seeking Quartet (the United Nations, the U.S., European Union, and Russia) to commit to nonviolence, recognize Israel’s right to exist, and end incitements of hatred.

“It’s a terrifying book,” said Wiesel. “The Palestinian Authority is revealed as inciting young children to hate Jews, not only in Israel but wherever they live. They must be denounced by all students of history.” Bernstein commented: “The book is not advocacy but a factual catalogue of public statements of government-sponsored hate speech that is not only wrong but dangerous. The Western media has entirely missed the story of duplicity because few know Arabic.”

Palestinian Media Watch has monitored the PA’s Arabic communications since 1996, but Deception is the conclusion of a year-long survey from the renewal of the peace process in May 2010 through April 2011. “The PA,” say the authors, “has intensified its diplomatic campaign, claiming it has fulfilled its commitment and is advancing peace. But the PA leaders’ communications to their own people in speeches at events, and through the media it controls and in children’s magazines contradict the diplomatic stance. The peace process has yet to begin; a peace process may never have been intended.”

Among the examples in Deception are repeated assertions in Palestinian media that Israel poisoned Yasser Arafat; intentionally spreads AIDS, drugs, and prostitution among Palestinians; and has plans to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The defamations are regurgitated in children’s essays and dramatic performances. One example cited is an essay by a Palestinian teenage girl submitted to PA-funded educational magazine, and published, which presents Hitler as a hero. Hitler tells the girl in a dream, ”I killed them so you would all know that they are a nation which spreads destruction all over the world.”`

The authors say that for years the PA has either denied that the Holocaust ever happened, distorted it by saying the Jews planned it themselves, or downplayed it by asserting that the number of Jews killed was much less than the “claimed” six millions. In March and April 2011, PA leaders and UNRWA employees expressed strong opposition to a proposed plan to teach Palestinian children about the Holocaust in the curricula of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNWRA) schools.

“The PA leaders’ communications to their own people in speeches at events, and through the media it controls and in children’s magazines contradict the diplomatic stance.”

The charge that the PA is engaged a campaign of double-speak is sustained by precise translations from daily monitoring of the newspapers and TV the PA controls.

Incitements

News report: In the White House on June 9, 2010, Mr. Abbas told President Obama, “All I can say in front of you, Mr. President, is that we have nothing to do with incitements against Israel, and we’re not doing that.”
Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, August 17, 2010. Israelis are Nazis who do things “worse than gas chambers.”
A cleric Dr. Muhammad IbrahIm Madi: We are waging war against the brothers of pigs, the Jews and the sons of Zion.
Jabbar Burquan, head of the anti-drug general authority, June 2, 2010: “The plague [of AIDS] is a political problem that is nurtured by Israel.”
At the PLO third cultural festival, children performed a dramatization in which they were scripted to say: “Yesterday, the Jews crucified Jesus; today they poisoned the father, the Elder (Arafat).”

Violence
The authors illustrate in videos and text many examples of encouragement to violence by the glorification of terrorists and the presentation of murderers as role models.
The Palestinian Prime Minister, who is regarded internationally as a moderate leader, speaks to the international community differently from the way he speaks in Arabic to Palestinians. For NPR and The New York Times he condemned “in the harshest terms” a bombing in Jerusalem that killed one and injured dozens. But the same day he spoke on Palestinian radio to express “honor and admiration” for four women terrorists: two who placed bombs in crowded areas, one who drove suicide bombers in an attack in Jerusalem that killed three and a fourth who helped a suicide bomber killed two near Tel Aviv.
Dalal Mughradi who hijacked a bus and killed 37 civilians, including many women and children, has a square and summer camp named in her honor.
Salah Khalaf, who killed two American diplomats, has a sports stadium in his name; it was built with U.S. funding but the PLO has ignored requests by USAID to change the name.

Recognition of Israel’s right to exist

News report: In a White House summit with Middle East leaders on September 1, 2011, Abbas pledged, “We want them, Israel, to live as neighbors forever.”
During the 2010 peace talks and in 2011 and since the PA has maintained a rigorous policy on maps and websites of defining all of Israel as “Palestine.”
On PA television, Chairman Abbas displayed a stone model of the map of “Palestine” that encompassed all of Israel (Al-Hayat Al Jadida October 26, 2010).
Palestinian Red Crescent (part of the international Red Cross) shows in a poster how to dispose of garbage, but in this case “the garbage” to be disposed of is Israel and/or Jews (July 23, 2010 PA television).
The Fatah movement’s logo continues to show no Israel on its website and at official Fatah events. The Fatah charter, which has never been canceled, says in Arabic—but not in English—that its goal remains “uprooting the Zionist existence and this struggle will not cease until the Zionist state is demolished and Palestine is completely liberated” (Article 19).

Religious war

News report: The Minister of Religious Affairs, Mahmoud Al-Habbash, told an American delegation: “The conflict with Israel is not a religious or historical conflict, but rather a political one.”
For the Arabic audience, Mr. Al-Habbash said on PA television: “Allah has preordained for us the Ribat (religious conflict) on this blessed land. We are committed to it by Allah’s command. Let no one be mistaken or under the illusion that Ribat is a choice and nothing more. It is a commandment.”
The PA daily Al Hayat Al-Jadida: “Judaism is a distorted, corrupted falsified religion … the Jews’ “evil nature is drawn from Adam’s first son,” Cain. … Sheikh Ishaq Feleifel, a PA teacher of religion: “And the conflict between us and the Jews is not a conflict about land and borders, but rather a conflict about faith and existence” (June 3, 2011).
Bernstein said: “We have to be appalled by the demonization of Israelis and Jews being spread by the so-called moderates of the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank—just as we are appalled by hate speech that targets Muslims or Arabs.” It was important to emphasize that not all Muslims and not all Arabs indulge in demonization. “There are courageous Arab and Muslim human-rights defenders. In fact, I do not even think all PA officials endorse hate speech, however for the most part they are silenced as they live in closed societies with tough censorship and penalties. Their voices just don’t come through in the official media and through Mr. Abbas and Mr. Fayyad.”
Bernstein called on the U.N. and human-rights organizations to pay for and organize a massive “peace” education for youth and children to counter hate propaganda by the PLO and by the Saudis “whose textbooks everywhere not only refer to Jews as monkeys and pigs but have similar derogatory references about Christians, Shia, gays, and more.”
Marcus will distribute copies of Deception to the U.S. Congress and European parliaments which provide funding to the PLO.

Another Anti-Jewish Lie

Another Anti-Jewish lie to demonisze the Israelis and gain the world’s sympathy for the so called “Palestinians”.  The truth is that peace would have come over 40 years ago if the Anti-Jewish Terrorists would stop working hand in hand with the surrounding Muslim Arab countries to deny Israeli’s right to exist.  Any suffering is purely the result of the leadership of these displaced arabs (mostly from Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan) who have been denied access to their originating countries rejecting any peace with Israel.  Every single death of a “palestinian” or an Israeli is due to this policy of teaching hate, terrorism and practicing these toward Israel.  Every war of aggression toward Israel has been due to the hate for Jews.  Free Israel from the oppression of the muslim arabs that surround her.  Tell the terrorists, Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood,  Hezbollahetc to stop attacking the Israel and accept peace so that not one more person has to die needlessly.

THIS IS THE FACE OF A TERRORIST who is killing Palestinian and Israeli children.

Gaza and Judea and Samaria are Israeli

There is no such place as the West Bank. The name for this part of Israel is Judea and Samaria.

Prior to the First World War, all of the area known to Europeans as Palestine was part of the Ottoman Empire. In the 1920 San Remo conference, the victorious Allies allocated the area to the British Mandate of Palestine. The 1948 Arab-Israeli War saw the establishment of Israel in parts of the former Mandate, while Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) was captured and annexed by Jordan, which destroyed any existing Jewish villages. The 1949 Armistice Agreements defined its interim boundary. From 1948 until 1967, the area was under Jordanian occupation, and Jordan did not officially relinquish its claim to the area until 1988. Jordan’s claim was not recognized by most other countries. Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) was liberated by Israel during the Six-Day War. Most of the residents are Arabs, including a large population of Christian Arabs, although large numbers of Israelis have returned since the liberation settling in Israeli settlements that have been built in the region. Most of the Arab portions of the West Bank are administered by the Palestinian National Authority.

Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) have an anomalous international status, since Jordan’s occupation was never recognized as legitimate by most countries, and Jordan relinquished its territorial claims. The area is not occupied under the strict definition of international law, since it is not territory of another sovereign, but most countries consider Israeli rule as legitimate, except Islamic Arab countries that are using these areas as excuses for Anti-Semitism and Anti-Israel. Israeli courts apply most aspects of international law regarding occupation to cases where it is relevant.

The Hard Life of Muslim Terrorists in Israeli Prison

The Hard Life of Muslim Terrorists in Israeli Prison
by Daniel Greenfield | FrontPageMag.com | June 20, 2011

Six years ago, Saeed Shalalde stabbed an Israeli chocolate manufacturer named Sasson Nuriel to death. Today Shalalde lives the good life in an Israeli prison. There terrorists mingle, throw parties, study for advanced degrees and stay in touch with their adoring fans on Facebook using their 3G mobile smartphones.

For Muslim terrorists in Israeli prisons, life is more like a vacation. Hamas terrorist Haytham Battat, who was responsible for the murder of four Israelis, uses his Facebook page to share Jihadi videos from YouTube. In his recent facebook photos, PFLP terrorist Saeed Omar, who was sentenced to nineteen years in jail, poses with his favorite soccer team’s banner, feasts with other terrorists on a table covered with dozens of dishes supplemented by bottles of Coca Cola, and posts scraps of poetry calling for the destruction of Israel.

Using a 3G smartphone, Omar is able to update his own Facebook ‘fan page’ from prison. Other terrorists use smartphone video to go shopping with their friends and pick out their own clothes, which are then brought to them in prison, and remotely attend family events. Sometimes it seems like they’re not even in prison.

Muslim terrorists like Shalade, Batta and Omar refuse to recognize the existence of Israel. And thankfully they’re not forced to watch television programming from the Zionist entity. Instead they enjoy satellite Arab TV channels. Courtesy of the Israeli prison system.

Buying treats and luxury goods isn’t a challenge either. Every convicted Muslim terrorist receives a salary from the Palestinian Authority. Even members of Hamas. That money is provided by American and European taxpayers. As much as 10 percent of the Palestinian Authority’s budget is dedicated to paying the salaries of imprisoned terrorists, benefits to their families and the families of terrorists who weren’t lucky enough to end up in Israeli prisons, but tried to shoot it out instead.

With that money, Muslim terrorists not only eat better than Jewish prisoners, they even eat better than the prison guards who watch over them. While the orphans of the men and women they murdered go hungry, their murderers stuff themselves like pigs in prisons that exist in name only. Waiting for the day when Israel will agree to exchange a thousand of them for a single hostage.

The estimated 100 million dollars annually that goes to benefits for captured or killed terrorists shows what big business terrorism is for the Palestinian Authority. Both the terrorist attacks and the good life that terrorists enjoy in prison is subsidized by aid money from governments that claim to oppose terrorism. And then go on to subsidize it anyway.

One of the charges leveled against Saddam Hussein was that he was promoting terrorism by making payments to the families of suicide bombers. But every country that provides aid to the Palestinian Authority is indirectly doing the same thing. The only difference between what Saddam Hussein was doing, and what the EU and the US are doing, is that we have one degree of separation that provides plausible deniability. The Palestinian Authority acts as our middleman, requesting money for security and then doling it out to terrorists.

The Obama Administration dramatically escalated aid to terrorists. In 2008, it provided 600 million dollars worth of assistance to the Palestinian Authority. In 2009, it pledged 900 million dollars. By 2010, the PA had pulled in almost 4 billion dollars from international donors, including the US. But that hasn’t stopped Prime Minister Fayyad from denouncing US aid as “extortion”. Foreign aid makes up 60 percent of its Gross National Product. The Palestinian Authority does not have an economy. It has foreign aid.

The Palestinian Authority is run by terrorists. The shortest path to the top is to form your own terrorist cell and begin murdering Israeli civilians. And the reward is a chance to dip into the golden river of foreign aid and divert some of it their way. Terrorists who are on the loose enjoy wealth and international respect. And even when they are captured, they receive kid glove treatment in prison.

The tidal wave of human rights accusations leveled at Israel has caused the government to bend over backward to show how well it treats Muslim terrorists. IDF soldiers operate under tightly restricted rules of engagement, similar to those which are causing serious US casualties in Afghanistan. And Israeli prisons turn a blind eye to terrorists posting propaganda on Facebook from inside their own walls.

Human rights activists often describe Gaza as a prison. A prison with free electricity and free water. While Israelis pay premium amounts for water, Hamas supporters in Khan Younis get it free of charge. Israel provides 40 million cubic meters of water. So much water that while in Israel residents carefully measure how much water they use, in Khan Younis they opened up their own water park.

If Israel were to pull the plug on the electricity and water — Gaza would revert to the stone age in a matter of weeks. The smartphones would have no place to be recharged. The Facebook accounts promoting a Third Intifada wouldn’t be able to be updated from computers with no power. And the bomb making labs would no longer be able to count on using power tools or plot their strikes using electronic maps.

But just as terrorists like Shahalde and Omar get to keep their smartphones, The Palestinian Authority and Hamas run Gaza get to keep their water and power. The hard life of a Muslim terrorist that CNN and the BBC report on simply doesn’t exist.

The Israeli example is not unique. Muslim terrorists live on the dole in every Western country. Major newspapers give them flattering profiles and taxpayer money is pumped into their organizations. And still they cry that they are persecuted. Tormented, abused and deprived of their rights.

The truth is not what you see on TV. The truth is that there are “refugee camps” full of mansions paid for by international aid. The truth is that terrorists in prison are gorging themselves on luxuries paid for by American taxpayers and preening for their admirers on Facebook using smartphones that many American and Israeli families can’t afford. The truth is that terrorism is big business. And we’re the ones picking up the tab.

Outraged At Totally Wrong Headed Response to Israel standing up to the stupidity of Obama

Good For Israel! This article is totally bias toward the non-exist palestinian people (small p). These people are displaced Jodians, Syrians, Lebanese and Egyptians that disowned them and cast them aside. Israel is the ONLY stable democratic AND free country in the middle east. We, as a (former) beacon of freedom and democracy should be not only backing the only legal country in the former Palestine Mandate, but pushing with as much effort as we put into WWII to guarantee they are NOT pressured into giving up a single acre of land and that ALL OF Jerusalem is part of Israel. There are NO illegal settlements. Israel has just as much right to these lands without a nation as anyone. If it wasn’t for the Mohammad approved and sanctioned “kill all Jews and Christians who will not submit to subjegation” in the Qu’ran and Hadith and Sunnah of Islam, Israel would be the model ALL middle east nations should emulate as a fair and just government and nation.

IN RESPONSE TO THIS:

Israel Bitch-Slaps Obama– Again– and Gets a $3,000,000,000 Handout from America as “Punishment”

ShareOnce again, the Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu has bitch-slapped the Obama administration upside the head with impeccably humiliating timing, and once again America will respond by gifting billions of dollars in aid to Israel.

This time, it was more or less over a speech.

There was much fault to find in President Obama’s address on the Middle East yesterday. It was positively oozing with hypocrisy on democracy and America’s role in regional tyranny. But he struck a remarkably balanced tone on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, even going so far as to become the first sitting President to endorse a two-state solution based on Israel’s 1967 borders.

It was precisely this even-handedness, even if it was only in a speech (and anyone on the “Arab Street” can tell you that they’ve heard it all before), that caused Netanyahu to blow his yarmulke. A few highlights:

“For decades, the conflict between Israelis and Arabs has cast a shadow over the region. For Israelis, it has meant living with the fear that their children could get blown up on a bus or by rockets fired at their homes, as well as the pain of knowing that other children in the region are taught to hate them. For Palestinians, it has meant suffering the humiliation of occupation, and never living in a nation of their own.”

“Because of our friendship [with Israel], it is important that we tell the truth: the status quo is unsustainable, and Israel too must act boldly to advance a lasting peace.”

“The dream of a Jewish and democratic state cannot be fulfilled with permanent occupation.”

“A lasting peace will involve two states for two peoples. Israel as a Jewish state and the homeland for the Jewish people, and the state of Palestine as the homeland for the Palestinian people; each state enjoying self-determination, mutual recognition, and peace… The United States believes that negotiations should result in two states, with permanent Palestinian borders with Israel, Jordan, and Egypt, and permanent Israeli borders with Palestine. The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states. The Palestinian people must have the right to govern themselves, and reach their potential, in a sovereign and contiguous state.”

Obama also spoke of the need for a “full and phased withdrawal of Israeli military forces” from occupied Palestinian territories and decried the continued (and illegal) construction of Israeli settlements on Palestinian land.

That last one got Netanyahu madder than dispossessed Palestinian refugee, and he immediately turned to bite the hand that feeds him to the tune of $3,000,000,000 US taxpayer dollars a year. With impeccably dickish timing– right after Obama’s speech and right before he boarded a plane to Washington to meet with the American President in the White House– Netanyahu flipped Obama a huge middle finger in the form of an announcement that his government was approving the construction of an additional 1,500 illegal settler homes in occupied East Jerusalem.

According to Agence France-Presse, the Israeli interior ministry has given its final approval for the building of 900 settler homes in Har Homa and another 620 in Pisgat Zeev. “I hope that the message that goes through the approval of 1,500 units of building in Jerusalem sends a clear message to the American administration,” Israeli lawmaker Arieh Eldad huffed with cocksure audacity. Indeed, “Netanyahu’s decision to discuss Har Homa and Pisgat Zeev today is a clear message to the Americans about Israel’s real policy which refuses to even discuss (sharing) Jerusalem,” Hagit Ofran of Peace Now’s Settlement Watch unit told AFP.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time that the Netanyahu regime has told Israel’s most indispensable benefactor to go fuck themselves in so many words. Last year, Bibi chose the moment when Vice President Joe Biden was visiting Israel, pledging Obama’s “absolute, total, unvarnished commitment to Israel’s security,” to announce that his government was authorizing the construction of 1,600 new illegal settlement homes on occupied Palestinian land. And how did the country that Israel cannot survive without punish its number one welfare case? By Biden showing up an hour and a half late for dinner with Bibi. And by sending $2,750,000,000 worth of some of the most advanced fighter jets America has ever built to Israel. For free.

So, what about this latest Israeli slap to America’s face? How will we put those pesky, disobedient Zionists in their place? By handing out billions more in free money, of course. The Obama administration has pledged $30,000,000,000 in guaranteed aid to Israel, and nothing so small as being utterly humiliated by a nation whose actions have been roundly condemned literally hundreds of times by the United Nations is going to threaten that unending flow of cash.

Somebody needs to put Israel in its place. But the only country that has a chance of doing that is too busy kissing stinking Zionist ass. It is utterly incomprehensible how successive governments of what is arguably the most powerful nation that has ever existed have been reduced to spinelessly slavish cash machines for a quasi-pariah strip of desert smaller than New Jersey. If any other country treated America as flippantly as Israel so often does, it would find itself on our shit list, at the very least, or at most, the target of isolation, sanctions or even talk of regime change.

But Israel isn’t “any other country.” It, like the United States, is self-absorbed with heady notions of divinely sanctioned exceptionalism, and armed with the arrogance and the heavy weaponry to impose that dangerously delusional vision upon the hapless nations around it, the US and Israel will continue to stand virtually alone in a world that increasingly views them both as rogue states.

Yes Arab nations treated Palestinian’s with loathing for many decades. Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia could have all offered them homeland & aide but never did until they realized they could be exploited against Israel internally. Duped …to send they’re children to death as suicide bomber thay idolize. When too old & fragile to care for self those icons of so called dead hero’s won’t be there for help they need. Ironically the nomadic Pal.s never had nor desired a homeland untl Israel drained swamp lands & pastures they ruined overgrazing then moving on to overgraze again elsewhere. Nothing, no one prevented them from building a nation before Israel returned to her God given land. A mere 60 some yrs. ago is but a speck of time. Now that Israel created thriving land they want to steal but they never attempted to create for themselves!
