Response to Facebook arguement to allow same sex marriage

I don’t see God excusing defense of sin regardless of an country’s laws.  Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. So watch yourselves. “If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, ‘I repent,’ forgive him.” — (Luke 17:1-4) .

Take Adam and Eve, for example. The Scriptures make it clear that while Eve was deceived, Adam was not, but he abdicated his role of leader and followed his wife into sin—knowingly (cf. 1 Timothy 3:14). I believe it is safe to say that people seldom sin independently. Just as our legal system recognizes that there are accessories to a crime, so the Lord Jesus, in our text, stresses that there are accessories to sin.

If the first sin in the Bible involved one person leading another, as it were, into sin, the second sin of the Bible involved one person refusing to take any responsibility for the well-being of another. You remember the story of Cain and Abel, his brother, from Genesis chapter 4, where Cain sought to defend himself by responding to God, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” (Genesis 4:9).

We can see, then, not only from experience, but more importantly from Scripture, that sin is not just a “solo” experience. In Luke chapter 17 Jesus spoke about sin as an interpersonal matter, rather than merely as an individual matter. The first two verses are a warning concerning the seriousness of influencing others in such a way as to encourage them to sin. In terms of the first sin in Genesis chapter 3, Jesus spoke words, which if obeyed, would keep us from being “Eve’s” to the “Adam’s” of this world. The last two verses deal with the positive role which they can play in the life of one who has sinned. Again, in Genesis chapter 4 terms, Jesus told us how it is we are to be our “brother’s keeper” when he does sin. The unifying element in these verses is “sin” and the overriding emphasis is that the disciples of our Lord should (1) take sin seriously, and (2) take sin personally.

Greetings my fellow infidels.  It is my sad duty to inform you that Facebook has adopted sharia.  A bold claim to be sure, so here is the proof.

Obama says “respect it!”  And Facebook says “don’t criticize it!”  What is the ‘it’ in question?!  It is sharia, the legal system associated with islam, a totalitarian political ideology disguised as a religion.

One of the tenets of islam is that criticism of islam, mohammed and sharia itself are prohibited.

Vision of Obama all wrong for America

Independence Day marks the founding of a nation uniquely based on liberty, limited government and rights derived from our Creator. During this July 4th weekend, Americans rightly celebrate American exceptionalism and our hard-won freedom from European dominance. That’s why President Obama’s promise to “fundamentally transform America” into a country of Dependence Day and European-style socialism won’t be fulfilled.

Mr. Obama’s vision of relegating free citizens to serf status under an all-powerful government is un-American at its core. He has sold this dangerous doctrine via prolific lies, distortions and class envy. But socialist economics always fails because it violates human nature. Obamanomics is no exception.

The proof is in the rotten pudding he has served up: a prolonged recession, high unemployment, staggering debt and an incoherent foreign policy. His own party in the Senate has not even produced a budget vote for more than two years. The $1 trillion stimulus has failed, and Mr. Obama wants to increase taxes to expand government even more.

Surveys show that people are not buying it, and Mr. Obama’s response has been to try to distract from this sorry record by deploying socialism’s pet, the green dragon of envy.

His latest venture into class warfare was this gem from Wednesday’s press conference:

“If we do not have revenues, that means there are a bunch of kids out there who do not have college scholarships. [It] might compromise the National Weather Service. It means we might not be funding critical medical research. It means food inspection might be compromised. I’ve said to Republican leaders, ‘You go talk to your constituents and ask them, “Are you willing to compromise your kids’ safety so some corporate jet owner can get a tax break?” ‘ “

Mr. Obama smacked around corporate-jet owners three more times in a performance that would have made Hugo Chavez or Fidel Castro envious. It’s a wonder he didn’t go after anyone who puts Grey Poupon on his hot dogs. Where are the guillotines when you need them?

Does anyone seriously think dunning corporate-jet owners will make a dent in our $14.3 trillion national debt?

But abetted by a media that’s a megaphone for Mr. Obama’s Marxist economics, this kind of socialist tripe plays well among left-wing-dominated unions and people dependent on working people’s dollars seized by our confiscatory tax system.

The whole socialist scheme envisioned by Mr. Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Charles E. Schumer is immoral. It is not only un-American, but it violates America’s Judeo-Christian heritage. This is not just a polite disagreement. And let’s dispense with the notion that the president is above criticism. This is America, not Europe. Excessive deference to a chief executive is a leftover from the monarchy and has no place in a nation whose Constitution begins with “We the People.”

Socialism is an elaborate socioeconomic structure that arises out of envy: It’s not fair that you have more than I do. I want it (or at least some of it) and you must give it or I’ll take it from you – at the point of a gun. If the government wields the gun, then I’m not morally culpable.

But socialism’s lure goes deeper than envy. By replacing God’s rules with man’s own, it frees man to pursue any vice he desires, no matter how perverse. In fact, the desires in and of themselves are often cited as validating consequent actions. It’s no accident that the same people promoting unlimited abortion, homosexual “marriage” and pornography are pressing for more and more government. They know that destroying moral foundations creates rich soil for government dependency.

Socialism is at bottom a rebellion against God and God’s clear words regarding morality and economics. You can find them all over the Bible but especially in the Proverbs and in the Apostle Paul’s admonition that if you don’t work, you don’t eat. That’s why so many socialist philosophers were virulently atheist or tried to co-opt God. Today’s “social justice” advocates, such as Mr. Obama’s former pastor Jeremiah Wright, frequently invoke the Almighty for unholy purposes such as redistribution. The problem is that when man becomes a law unto himself, he winds up under other men’s tyranny.

America’s great hope is that enough people see the financial and moral abyss and will not follow Mr. Obama’s green flag of envy over the cliff. Hungary unveiled a Ronald Reagan statue this week in Budapest’s Freedom Square. It would be shameful to allow the current occupant of the White House to keep marching us toward the kind of government we defeated when the Berlin Wall fell in 1989.

A great way to celebrate July Fourth would be to get involved in a Tea Party. It will take all of us working together to stop the socialist juggernaut that seeks to turn our national birth remembrance into Dependence Day.

Good Advice

One doesn’t have to be a brain surgeon to offer good advice……

Everyone concentrates on the problems we’re having in Our Country lately: Illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida …

Not me — I concentrate on solutions for the problems — it ‘s a win-win situation.

* Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.
* Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levees.
* Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border.

Any other problems you would like for me to solve today?

Think about this:
1. Cows
2. The Constitution
3. The Ten Commandments

COWS: is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

THE CONSTITUTION: They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq …why don’t we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we’re not using it anymore.

THE 10 COMMANDMENTS: The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this — you cannot post ‘Thou Shalt Not Steal’ ‘Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery’ and ‘Thou Shall Not Lie’ in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians, it creates a hostile work environment.

Response to Dearborn Mayors Open Letter

Mr Mayor, reading your open letter was painful in the obvious errors in thinking it expressed.

1. All of the United States of America is a FREE SPEECH ZONE that is guaranteed by the Constitution. Permit Free Zones? That is clearly Un-American and has no basis from the Constitution. The only reason a permit is needed for Free Speech Demonstrations is to notify the local government of the Demonstration so that it may adequately prepare any necessary security and area clean-up as needed.

2. You are mistaken regarding no illegal behavior occurring in the mosques of Deerborn. Failure to investigate or to prosecute jihadist behavior, support, or illegal activity does NOT mean it isn’t occurring. And behaviors that are not illegal, but against the interests of the United States of America are still Un-American behavior and Un-welcomed.

3. “It appears your choice of the Islamic Center of America is not because it has any relationship to the stated object of your free speech, but because it symbolizes the Islamic faith in general. If so, that is not truly in line with the Constitution you say you are defending.” – This is purely your opinion and has nothing to do with the Constitution. Anyone has a right of free speech regardless of the subject matter. The Supreme Court has repeated affirmed this right is guaranteed in the Constitution, even if the content of the free speech is abhorrent to must people.

4. Your defense of smut outlets and the use of them, a sausage factory and The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village as “proof” that Sharia Law isn’t being implemented in Deerborn is ludicrous. None of these three paragraphs has anything to do with the Constitution, the Dhimmi support of the Deerborn Muslim community, or the objections to the planned demonstration or Pastor Jones exercise of his free speech rights.

Mayor O’Reilly: An Open Letter to Pastor Jones

April 20, 2011

“Dear Pastor Jones:

I watched you on television speaking about the Constitution and Dearborn, and it appears you need more information about both before you come to our city. I can provide insight on the Constitution, and expertise on Dearborn.

First of all, Dearborn supports the Constitution as well as any city in America. Our commitment to the Constitution is unwavering, not merely convenient, which makes your hyperbole about Sharia Law being practiced in the courts or civil law of Dearborn nonsensical. So, you are coming to protest against an imaginary threat that doesn’t exist in our community. Not in our courts, not at our City Hall, not on our streets and not in any of our places of worship.

Still, because we do understand the Constitution here, we are not preventing you from expressing your free speech. In fact, in Dearborn, we’ve even gone one step farther than most communities in support of free speech. We established, by ordinance, “Permit Free Zones” intended for demonstrations and free speech.

One of those zones is at City Hall, where from my office I have heard many rallies being conducted in response to international, national or regional issues. This is a high-visibility spot, seen by thousands of motorists but safe from traffic, with plenty of public space for protestors, supporters and the media. It is where we are asking you to conduct your demonstration. The steps of City Hall can even make an impressive platform for speeches.

And, if you are unhappy with what you think is going on in Dearborn, then what better place to protest than with City Hall as the back drop?

Instead you insist on protesting in an area that has no public property to accommodate crowds, spectators, parking or the media. There is just a small public road with limited access which can’t be blocked and an adjacent grassy area for drainage. It is parallel to a major state road, but the small shoulder can accommodate people only when they have auto emergencies.

And, this property you are focusing on, in front of the Islamic Center of America, is also adjacent to four Christian churches, all of which will be hosting Good Friday services, adding to the traffic flow and congestion. It is ironic that the road that you want to protest near is called Altar Road, so named because it was first constructed to provide access to a row of churches constructed in the 1950s reflecting Dearborn’s diverse faith communities.

But I can understand if you don’t know the details of the site, or the particulars about Dearborn. But you should know about the Constitution that you claim to be defending.

The Constitution says that your rights must be balanced with the rights of others under the same document. Your free speech rights do not allow you to trespass on the private property of others or prevent them from the Constitutional right to freely practice their religion. I am not just talking about Muslims, but members of all faiths.

The members of the Christian churches on Altar Road asked me last week if they should cancel their Good Friday services because of your planned visit. I assured them that they should not because the Constitution does not allow you to violate their rights. I don’t know why you selected Good Friday, but it wasn’t very considerate of the significant Christian services being held at that time. I assure you that you will not make them forfeit their services.

You claim that you are coming to protest the radicalism of Islam. Like all of America, we are concerned about the radicalization of any religion that would rationalize extreme actions. However we have not let this concern turn into a twisted paranoia that promotes fear-mongering and misleading generalizations. You state that you are coming to the Islamic Center of America because it is the largest mosque in America. What does that have to do with the radicalism of Islam? While size may matter to you, we prefer to focus on actual behavior. And according to our Police Department and the anti-terrorism agencies they work with, there has never been evidence of any wrongdoing in any of Dearborn’s mosques.

It appears your choice of the Islamic Center of America is not because it has any relationship to the stated object of your free speech, but because it symbolizes the Islamic faith in general. If so, that is not truly in line with the Constitution you say you are defending.

There is no Sharia Law in Dearborn, only Constitutional Law. Sharia Law is church- or faith-based law that is applicable only to the followers of that faith. For me it is Cannon Law of Catholicism, in Judaism it is Torah Law, and for Muslims it is Sharia Law. The actual originator of the event you plan to hold in Dearborn, Frank Fiorello of the Fraternal Order of the Dragon, accepted my invitation to learn more about Dearborn, and after seeing the truth, he canceled his protest.

But, if you don’t believe that Dearborn follows the Constitution, here are some realistic facts for you. Businesses in Dearborn lawfully meet the diverse needs of our Greater Detroit area, but if Dearborn practiced Sharia Law, would we have three adult entertainment bars and more alcohol licensed bars and restaurants per capita than most other cities? None of that should be allowed under Sharia Law.

How about this? A business we boast about, the nationally known Dearborn Sausage, opened more than 60 years ago across the street from the first mosque in Dearborn and is famous for its sausages and spiral-sliced hams. It is one of many meatpacking operations in our City and no one has ever objected.

Dearborn is also famous for The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, where more than 1.5 million visitors come each year from across the country and the world to learn about the foundations of our American way of life.

Dearborn is a diverse, safe and unified city that is addressing its future in a proactive manner. We cherish the American Dream that brought so many people here during the last century to earn a decent wage and enjoy a high quality of life thanks to Henry Ford and the Ford Motor Company. And for Dearborn, our success and our identity is tied to welcoming people of all backgrounds who have chosen to make America, and our community, their home. We are proud to have welcomed them.

As we work hard to balance your rights with the rights of others in Dearborn, you will be extended every courtesy during your visit–as long as you follow the law based on the Constitution’s protection of everyone’s rights. That should be a familiar statement to you.

You have said over and over that “Muslims are welcome as long as they follow the Constitution.” Surely, then, you wouldn’t ask less of yourself.”

Islam By Their Law Shall We Know Them

The ideology of Islam fully implemented under Sharia Law, consistent with the koran, sira and hadith, condemns freedom (speech, conscience, religion association, press, petition of government), forbids equality (between men and women, muslims and non-muslims) and denies traditional sovereignty (national boundaries, secular law, native culture). Any form of sharia, implicit (in mosques and ‘at home’) or explicit (as practiced in UK civil courts, as promoted by the Organization of the Islamic Conference to the United Nations), denies human rights to women, children and non-muslims. Therefore, allowing sharia in this Constitutional Republic or any non-islamic nation violates our basic laws of freedom, including freedom of choice. The tenets of islam as codified in sharia are supremacist, discriminatory and misogynist; they invite or encourage deception toward non-muslims and mandate perpetual hostility to that which is not islamic. Sharia must be banned as being unConstitutional and its promotion labeled seditious, as it calls for the replacement of man-made law with “divine” sharia.

Whatever in islam that may be spiritual and promote the salvation of the soul is of little interest to me, unless and until it affects non-muslims, at which point it becomes political doctrine. And if this political doctrine calls for harm, subjugation, taxation, terrorizing and death, it is a free-people’s right and obligation to resist.

Speak about islam and sharia in this way. Challenge your listeners not to believe anything about islam that is not consistent with the foundational texts of islam and its body of law, for to do so is to be deceived and ignorant.

New Ground Zero imam Apostates against Islam must be jailed

New Ground Zero imam: ‘Apostates against Islam must be jailed’
Posted on January 26, 2011 by creepingsharia

Moderate face of Islam says jail apostates. So much for freedom of religion and speech.

via Aaron Klein at WND, Ground Zero imam: ‘Apostates against Islam must be jailed’

Those who leave Islam and preach against the Muslim religion must be jailed, declared the imam who has become the new face of the proposed Islamic cultural center near Ground Zero in New York City.

“If someone leaves the din, leaves the path privately, they cannot be touched. If someone preaches about apostasy, or preaches their views, they’re jailed,” stated Imam Abdallah Adhami in a November lecture obtained and reviewed by WND.

Adhami was discussing the Quranic view of apostasy, or Muslims who decide to leave the Islamic religion.

According to Shariah, or Islamic law, the consensus view in Sunni Islam is that a male apostate must be put to death unless he suffers from a mental disorder or converted against his will.

There are, however, differing views on the subject, with some contemporary Islamic scholars differentiating between public and private apostasy and arguing for actions ranging from death to nothing.

Adhami, speaking to a non-Muslim audience, claimed Islamic law only calls for punishment for public apostates and that most Islamic scholars demand only that public apostates be jailed as opposed to killed.

He claimed Islam was “revolutionary” for purportedly only punishing those who preach apostasy publicly, as opposed to other religions, which, he claimed, punish both public and private apostates.

“The Quran distinguishes between public and private apostasy,” he said, failing to note most medieval Islamic scholars did not make such a distinction.

Adhami admitted, “Yes, many jurists said [public apostates] have to be killed. … But the position of the state was the position of Islamic scholars – they must be jailed so they are contained.”

He said, “In Islam, in the Quran, theoretically, if you look over the Quran from cover to cover, you literally have the right to the choice to reject God’s message. The only thing you do not have the right to do is to spread this conviction, lest you, quote unquote, pollute others.”

Last week, WND broke the story that Adhami declared in a lecture Muslims have “more of a right” than Jews to the biblical prophet Moses.

In the same lecture, Adhami urged Muslims to “compete” with other religions.

Meanwhile, others have been scrutinizing Adhami’s background.

Writing at the NewsReal blog, writer Joseph Klein revealed Adhami was a guest speaker at the annual convention of the Islamic Association for Palestine in 2000. T he theme of the convention was “All Palestine is Sacred!”

Adhami was reportedly joined at the speakers’ rostrum by Dr. Sami Al-Arian, who pled guilty in 2006 to conspiracy to contribute services to or for the benefit of the Palestine Islamic Jihad.

IAP went defunct in 2005. It was established in 1981 by Hamas political operative Mousa Abu Marzook.

Like the ISNA, the IAP was named in a May 1991 Muslim Brotherhood document – titled “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America” – as one of the Brotherhood’s 29 likeminded “organizations of our friends.”
